In
1992 Maylee Thomas-Fuller, Carrie Garner, and Rosemary
Thomas called together friends and family to consider
what they could do to address the needs of abused children
and their families in the Dallas community. We are deeply
gratified to the many dedicated volunteers who, over the
years, have enabled the Love Life Foundation to make a
significant difference in the lives of so many young people.
The Love Life Foundation
is an all volunteer, non-profit organization benefiting
at-risk children by funding local non-profit agencies
directly assisting these children. The majority of our
fund raising is accomplished through three annual, highly
publicized events. "A Formal Love Affair",
a springtime, black-tie, wine and food gala conceived
of and graciously hosted by Carrie and Jim Garner; "Swing
Fore Life", our annual "Florida Scramble"
golf tournament played in September; and in December,
it's the "Children's Cheer Charity", our inaugural
event, which over the years has become one of the most
successful fund-raising events in North Texas.
To date, these
charitable events have raised almost one million dollars
for the benefit of some of the littlest victims of neglect
and abuse right here in our community. This sensational
accomplishment has enabled Love Life Foundation to provide
a wealth of assistance to our beneficiaries in their
compassionate commitment to fostering a safer, more
loving and hopeful environment for our youth.
Love Life Foundation
provides vital financial support to Collin County Children's
Advocacy Center, Genesis Women's Shelter, Annie's House,
Infant & Toddler Intervention Program, Children's
Medical Center Legacy, and to The Rainbow Room, a facility
run by Community Partners of Dallas in conjunction with
Child Protective Services(CPS) of Dallas.
